Other people didn't think that they should be bowling because they should be grieving.

And that's what they were doing though.

We weren't bowling, they were grieving.

Yeah, one thing that worked for my family and I after my husband died was um

On Christmas I just asked the kids what they wanted to do.

And he always had gotten up Christmas morning and sat in a chair his chair and had coffee.

So they

wanted to put coffee next to his chair and we did put a hot cup of coffee next to his chair and

You know what?

That's what they wanted to do and that's what we did and they felt good about it.

And then um on his birthday we

ate his favorite food and watched his favorite movies and that's what they wanted to do.

So you know whatever feels right or feels good, um it doesn't matter if it's

you know, something that no one else has done before.
