So that if I just differentiate between those two things, the stuff I need to do for work and the stuff I just need to do logistics of life.

I use it as so for doctor's appointments, even structuring if you need to go somewhere every six months.

Put a reminder that you need to go in six months, and then once you go to the doctor.

manually put that to the next six months as opposed to because I don't like when reminders are constantly coming at you.

It's more like the to do list.
