Not that you need them in South Carolina.

And my mom was neglected and permanently injured.

And so after three years she resigned.

And uh I met the successor guardian that she recommended and I just didn't get a good feel about it.

And I said, No, I'm putting my hat back in the ring.

My family member didn't.

And so then it became me fighting this successor guardian that had been nominated by the previous guardian.

And then we got a real curve ball, we go to court and the judge recuses himself.

So we lost more time, had to go to a different county.

By then I had a new lawyer and finally the new judge said I had priority as the daughter.

Nobody could prove that I wasn't responsible, capable, I wasn't charging her, but we lost so much time and I spent so much money to get her out of what they called a professional guardianship, but I don't find anything professional about the folks that had had my mom.

personal for people and it's so emotional because I I was pouring onto the page what I was living.

So I although I've had a couple reviewers say, well, the legal case isn't plot possible.

And I'm like, oh my gosh, if you only knew.

And part of why I so appreciate getting to tell you about this is that, oh, what Dawn had it easier than me.

It took less time, cost her less money.

And so when people think that legal part that someone can't fight you for guardianship of an elderly parent, they can.

Um so it does bring some authenticity and also talking to ten women who had stalkers.

I I put the word out on Facebook if it you know if anybody was willing to talk to me and several women came forward and I took their stories and created combined them and it it really made him horrible because not just what one woman lived through is what several lived through.
