They're alleged, but there are other instances with the many of the players that were involved in my mom's case um happening in South Carolina.

So we just we just saw the Murdaw case, right?

Like I'm like, okay, let's go look at the guardianship cases in South Carolina because I think there's something to find there.

Well, I I'm I've gotten better editors each time.

I mean my editors have all been good, but I keep you know, I keep getting better and better editors and I I've got the accumulation of what editors have told me.

And my first editor co constantly said, Are we advancing the story?

Because that book was what a hundred and twenty thousand words and we had to cut it down to ninety.

Um so it was all about are you advancing the story and you know, stop stop using that, which is my kind of go to word.

And so as I'm writing, I really f hear my editors in my head and I fix stuff as I go now that so I I think it's just the skill.

And the the second editor was really about show, don't tell.

And so it's all the techniques that you should know and learn.

Um, I think I've gotten better and better.

And I said the other day, um, I I write for myself, but I edit for the reader.

And I people have told me they've read the book in one sitting, two sittings.

Uh it's short and that it's a lot of dialogue and it's it goes fast and people want to know what happens to Dawn, but it's it's a quick pace because of how we edited it.

Yeah, I guess I partly always thought thrillers should have a twist and that that excites me to try to figure out a puzzle.

Uh and I read Encyclopedia Brown and Nancy Drew and all that when I was a kid.

So I I like a twist just because I like the detective side of it.

Um I wouldn't say that's necessarily hard other than I won't put one in there that's um not earned.

Like, you know, it has to make sense.
