And we're lucky enough, again, to have one Swiss working in our school four days a week.

And so that's when we refer students who are more needing support with maybe emotional regulation strategies, pro-social behaviour, maybe even making friends, just when you've kind of noticed that things are a little bit off.

Yeah.

And usually those are the sorts of things that we've noticed in school that we will then reach out to home and say, hey, is it OK?

Because, again, obviously we'd need consent.

And then our Swiss will reach out to the parents to get informed consent to support kids.

I do think so.

And I guess schools, I'm at an intermediate school, but at schools, like the homeschool partnership just helps everything.

And sometimes we don't so much find it at our school, but I remember when my kids, my kids are year nine and 10, but when they were at intermediate, you kind of, as a parent, you're quite proud

that they are starting to become independent.

My kids caught the train to intermediate, and not that you're hands off, but you're like, whereas as the intermediate, they're like, no, come in.

We still want that connection.

Really useful, and it's just so nice to kind of create that community.

So at our school, we are on a relational neuroscience journey.

And we have been getting a lot of support from Jace Williams with this.

And so we know that...

when kids are feeling safe and regulated, that they're able to ask for help, problem solve, and they are operating in their prefrontal cortex and everything's great.

When things move into the amygdala and they're a stress response,

they're feeling dysregulated, they aren't able to ask for help in those ways, that's when it will show up as what in a traditional school we might have called behaviour.
