You know, it's funny because months ago, the scuttlebutt around the league was that he was already a goner.

He was going to take the fall for another rough season, injuries notwithstanding.

It was inevitably heading toward this.

But when you're on the verge of pulling off one of the rare 8-1 upsets,

I was like the most comical thing that could happen here is like they win this and suddenly the front office and ownership are like, Hey, can we fire the guy after, after pulling off one of the rare eight one ups?

It's as somebody else said to me last night was having this conversation with somebody at the garden.

Like, yeah, you probably still fire him anyway.

Cause you're going to lose in the second round and you'll still have an out to do it.

But I do think it would have made it more awkward.

I think it was even made more awkward by the fact that they got to seven games at all.

But you're not basing Jamal Mosley's standing on the last two weeks.

You're basing it on several years of him being there.

You're basing it on, you know, everything that's come to pass.

I think the only part of it that troubles me a little bit, it's like, fine, you want to move on from the coach?

he clearly does like this your star player one of your star players has said a lot of things that are clearly undercutting him and at a certain point it's not that you you side with player over coach or you think the player is right it's more just that well you can't get rid of the players so you know you find a coach who uh will command the room more or who has to have their ears fine but when jeff weltman who got extended as gm or team president whatever jeff's title is these days

When he has his press conference yesterday, he talks about like he's not seeing needs for major changes and that's just patently wrong.

They need to address this roster.
