Stephen A is like, Austin Reeves and Luka Doncic are getting called out for being defensive liabilities.

And I'm like, have you not watched the Lakers this whole season?

Have you not watched Luka and Austin Reeves their entire career?

But there is something to be said about

One of the things with Luka is it felt like over the summer, there was a very concerted effort for him to change the narrative of what we think about him, right?

He's going to lose the weight.

He's going to play better defensively and be better on that side of the ball.

He's going to be an MVP candidate, if not MVP, right?

We got the stats on that for him.

He has played really, really well.

I think it's two things.

One, the roster just isn't great around him.

There's a big to speak of, but he doesn't want to play within the confines of the offense that they need him to do.

He doesn't want to play the role that they need him to play.

Then you have an aging LeBron and all these things.

Then you have Austin Reeves who's been injured.

Where do you fall on the criticism of Luka Doncic?

And is it kind of overblown this week or is it right where it needs to be for what his season has been so far?

Yeah, I mean, I think, I mean, and there's precedent for even Rob Palenka building around the margins for LeBron in order to get time for a stretch run.
