Through the kind of madness of our democratic complexities and elections, the various projects can make a difference to the country.

One of the things that my suddenly thousand best new friends every day are messaging me about amusingly is Heathrow.

You know, Heathrow would be a perfect thing to put through it.

Have you ever seen a proper independent estimate of whether a third runway would be really good for the UK or not?

I haven't.

Have you ever seen anything like that for HS2?

No.

And so that does relate to this 10-year thing.

But importantly, linking it to the other part of answering your question, Steph, again, once financial markets and serious investors see something like that, who are people who have to make decisions today, they're like, well, hang on a minute.

This is a bit different.

And the UK is actually now trying to put in a proper framework.

And I say it in that order because what is so interesting about the timing of all this very peculiar developments is

is that the UK economy, yes, is still generally struggling, and it doesn't appear to be doing anything to really improve people's feelings about it.

But the numbers have actually been a bit better.

And most importantly, whether that's actually of material relevance or not, in the underlying background, we currently have, by our cyclical standards, a surprisingly high savings rate.

And if something can be done to change the mindset of consumers and business and think, hang on a second, we don't have to worry as much about the next few years like we have been doing effectively on and off since the financial crisis, then I think the human instincts and the sort of natural juices would mean, so long as you don't have an incoming government saying, actually,

Yeah, repeating what Keir did.

Oh, well, it's actually way worse than we thought.

Sorry, we're going to tax the hell out of you.

Life's going to be miserable.
