Yeah, it's a little bit of a sore spot for Edmonton, right?
Right.
No question about it.
Ryan Kessler, back in the day, didn't make too much of an effort to get off of Cam Talbot.
Once he got pushed in there, he was pushed in there initially, and I'll say that for sure.
But his hand is on.
He hung around in there for a little too long for my liking.
Yeah, absolutely.
I just talked to Ryan Poehling in the Anaheim room about that exact play because he was the one that was pressuring Bouchard.
And early in the series, that pressure really overwhelmed them.
They were making mistakes.
They were giving the puck back.
But as we've seen in recent years, especially in the last three where Evan Bouchard has led all defensemen in points in the playoffs three consecutive years, he gets better every single game of the playoffs, it seems.
Early on, I think Poehling probably gets that puck, but not now.
Three elite plays by Evan Bouchard in game number five.
Elite plays.
The pause, the poise to make the play to Pod Coles on the first one, the beautiful shot pass to Dreisaitl for the second goal, and the great play on the power play, which was a critical goal.
John Quenville had shuffled up his lines a little bit.
They were starting to get some traction in the game.
And Edmonton goes out there and scores a timely power play goal on an excellent play by Bouchard on the line.
