The Anaheim Ducks were a young, skilled enough team coming into this series.
Do you think if you were to put them on a lie detector test and you said, hey, do you think you're going to beat the Edmonton Oilers in the first round, that it would all be like you're telling the truth?
I don't think so.
You try and convince yourself.
They only finished one.
But it doesn't matter because Edmonton has that clout.
They're the team that's been there, the team that's done it.
Yes, they want to go in there and put their first game face on, and that's exactly what they did, and they've done it well.
But now doubt starts to creep in there a little bit.
So it becomes harder to win for Anaheim now.
As hard as it is for Edmonton, and it has been for them to win, it will be just as hard, if not harder, for Anaheim now because the seed of doubt has planted a little bit.
And they've been really good at shaking that off.
But that's what happens when you're a good team, is that you're starting to put that forward.
But for Edmonton, they're going to need to do the right things here because this Anaheim team is young enough to be brazen enough to say, we're going to go out there and keep playing the same way.
And they can get some breaks.
So make sure you're the one, you're the team that's going out there to create your breaks.
You're the team that's going out there to work hard enough that you get the bounces, not the other team.
They've been loose.
