It's amazing what taking some time off for a guy of his age, too, and the way he plays the game hard can do for your energy levels.
It's incredible to me how it looked like he had that extra step already.

After going to the Stanley Cup final two years in a row, a conference final four years ago, he played in the Four Nations, he played in the Olympics, he's played as much hockey as anybody in the league at an elite level, yet he still puts up the second best point total that he's had in his career in the National Hockey League with a team that has had some injuries to key, key players this year.
How can you argue that?
For me, I don't know what he has to do to kind of make everybody realize how important he is to this team.
They have not won a game when he doesn't have a point this season.
If that doesn't tell you that he's the most important player in the league, I don't know what does.
So that's just my take on it.
As far as Evan Bouchard, he's in the running for the Norris.
No question about it.
If he's not, then this is a silly league, in my opinion.
He's got to be in the conversation.
I know people want to talk about the gaffes that he makes, which I truly understand.
And sometimes you scratch your head.
But that's Evan Bouchard.
That's what he is.
