I thought our dark years were the worst dark years, but there was a 10-year stretch where they didn't make the playoffs.

So they kind of left us in the dust.

But I understand what it's like being in one of those low, dark periods of time.

And I can tell you, I was always impressed with the fact that the fans still came out.

They love the game.

They love the Oilers, but they can get a little disgruntled at times, and then all they want is for a team to go and do it the right way and win the Stanley Cup, like any other franchise in the NHL.

So they're no different than anybody in that regard, but they're passionate, and that's kind of what the appeal is, too, about being in this market.

It can be a negative, but it's also a mega positive.

Look how exciting it was in the two years they went to the Stanley Cup final.

I mean, those rides are the best rides in the league.
