I have gone back and forth throughout my life between being a full time writer for a company or a you know, a publication and being freelance.

On one of my freelance uh periods

I had a client who asked me to interview a psychic.

And uh I kind of rolled my eyes and said, Oh boy You know, uh okay, I'll just go, you know, interview this nut.

I mean I didn't say that to my client, but that's what I was

So uh I went to this psychic and uh she turned out to be a very intelligent, delightful and rational human being.

Uh nothing like I had imagined.

And uh I interviewed her and toward the end of the interview, of course, some of my bad attitude came

and I said, Well

Hey, if you're psychic, can you tell me who I'm gonna marry?

And she just kinda sat back and she smiled at me and she said, Well, I'll tell you what

You know, I run a psychic development class one night a week.

Why don't you come out at some point when you feel ready?

And I went.

Okay, fine.

You know, you know, I I wrote up the story, handed it in them thinking, Well, that was an evasive answer, you know.

She didn't tell me anything.
