We know what usual aging is for a lot of people.
But I do think maybe we don't have an answer, but I think these are really important questions that we need to be exploring in medicine and in society.
They're unreliable.
But there's a risk for not having one, right?
And we're sort of seeing that as person after person, where uh mo m most of us perhaps, according to the polls, would say
Maybe it's time to move on and they're not moving themselves on.
So so this to me is akin to driving, right?
People don't police themselves as well as they should, and in the absence of such self-monitoring.
Um, we are going to get rules.
Now, hopefully, we would have them be as wise as and and you know nuanced as what you just mentioned.
Um, but I think
i you know, unless people start doing the right thing and and clearly people who run for office are different than many of us, but but we also see this in everyday life among people who really have come to the end of their driving lives and are unwilling to accept.
world we're comfortable with ambiguity.
Um and complexity, we would have a hell of a lot more geriatricians in the world.
