In Stockton, California, late yesterday, a family gathering in a banquet hall was interrupted by a gunman firing on the group.

Four people have died.

Others have been injured.

Children are among the victims.

Heather Brent of the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office is asking for people with information to come forward.

Several of the victims were transported to hospitals.
