And I do feel, and I will be lashed out of it for saying it, you know, until we hit these people in the pockets where it hurts the most, it's not going to change.
We need to start, like, you get paid a children's allowance to assist you rearing your child.
We don't get it for any other reason.
And in order to rear your child, you're getting paid for that.
Like at the end of the day, CiarΓ‘n, one must have a license to have a dog.
And if you are going to just drag your child up and let your child run amok and do as it pleases, then I'm sorry, the problem isn't going to get any better.
And until the parents are held responsible for their children...
Like, I mean, we would have had nothing in Clondalkin growing up.
We had the GAA club at one point.
It was only in the 80s that we got our swimming pool.
But, I mean, we didn't carry on like that because we were reared properly.
Your parents knew where you were.
And if not, they would be out looking for you.
Whereas now, these kids are out as young as seven and eight.
And the parents really don't care where they are.
So why play these people at children's allowance?
So you're not punishing... Not with drops of drink.
Yeah, that it's meant to support the child, but unfortunately it's not supporting the child.
