Eligibility rules for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, or the NDIS, will be tightened as the government looks to cut 160,000 recipients.
Health Minister Mark Butler announced sweeping changes to curb NDIS spending during a press club address in Canberra today.

The overall cost of the NDIS was forecast to reach $70 billion annually by 2030.
Under the newly announced changes, Butler said growth would be limited to $55 billion by the end of the decade.
