And there's a character in that book called Alan Bales.
And Alan Bales was who I always wanted to be growing up.
Like that was the person I wanted to be.
But so both these books are epic fantasy.
So yeah, The Pain of Man by Peter V. Brett and then Magician by Raymond Nephias.
And Magician was the very first fantasy book I read after I got out of rehab.
And before going into rehab during my addiction, reading actually fell out of my life because I was so consumed by my addiction.
And Magician was the very first fantasy book I read after I came out of rehab and it reignited that magical place within me and allowed me to reconnect with it.
It gave me the pathway home to myself, that book.
And it's a fantastic book.
You know, the story is incredible in and of itself, but those two books hold such a beautiful, sacred place within my soul because they mean so much to me.
They mean the world to me and the characters and the stories within them just have such profound meaning within my life.
It's possibility.
It's dreams.
