What's the point?

You know, you can't rely on one player.

And I'm sure that's what Bevo's talking about this week.

Well, we spoke about crisis management last night on 360 about just how you, from a leadership point of view, you wish you could just talk strategy.

You wish you could just talk the X's and O's.

But unfortunately, you're dealing with

An ACL to your best player, eight-week suspension to all Australian players, a death in the family within the football club, or the Holland situation this week.

So you're dealing with these things that are bigger than the club sometimes, but it feels like clubs deal with it.

It's a lot more emotionally connected, isn't it?

So when a family, the grief situation that Adelaide have gone through, that is all tools down.

We are going into care mode for a few days and the footy would backseat.

And that is, from a leadership point of view, it's really important you bring the right people in.

So your CEO, your GM, the coach, and then you pivot to, hey, we need our integrity officer to investigate this or we need our...

chaplain to intervene, or we need our doctor to intervene, or a psych, or our media manager needs to be part of this crisis meeting.

So there's all these types of triggers you've got to pull.

And you're a coach, so are you skilled enough, and you learn as you go, you learn on the job, to deal with a crisis and COVID, that's a huge one, how you deal with all that.

That's probably the biggest of them all, which I learn a lot from.

Yeah, a lot to deal with at a footy club and then you get to Thursday night and you're there to win.
