But that's the tough conversation.

It's understanding and talking to a player, just pleading to them, saying this is what we need if we want success.

You'll realise straight away if that player wants to do it or not.

And if he doesn't, you put him into the seconds and fulfil that role with someone who's capable of doing it.

This is where it's not just a team, it's a list that wins a premiership.

And sooner, if your culture's good enough, strong enough...

they will drag that person along in time.

And if they can't do it in a year or two, then guess what?

You're out and someone else can go and try and revive your career.

But this is the pre-group pressure.

This is the team-orientated stuff that good teams need because we all believe in Gold Coast.

We just don't believe that they're a team-first mindset just yet.

Yeah, I loved every part of that.

I loved the first part when he spoke about the passion of just appreciating every game that he's been fortunate enough to play, especially in the later part of his years, because...

We all know that not many players get to the same stage that he's at.

And he's still loving lacing up the boots.

Those sore bodies when you can't walk the following day after a game, he still appreciates all that because he understands once he hangs up the boots, that's gone.

But I love the part where it was all about, I'm not going to do it if it's not the best thing for the Geelong Footy Club.

He understands what that football club has done for him, was able to bring him back to his hometown.

But I think that's, we just spoke about the leadership mentality of Gold Coast.
