And I think the whole thing is just one long monologue, really.
The whole novel is a monologue that could feasibly just be happening in the narrator's head.
One of the reasons for leaving out traditional formatting of direct speech was that I wanted it feasibly just to be him sitting in his chair, just coming up with this, which of course is actually the truth, because that's what I did.

enough to make more than a sort of professional income from doing that.
So whereas the narrator is a sort of, it's kind of a theatre snob, like he wants to do, he wants to be in like Chekhov and Ibsen, he wants to do good work, you know, and that's not available to him.

he gets offered it's not what he has, what he has is sort of murder mystery theatre where people are eating at the same time and they have to decide who the killer is, or he gets kind of awful issues-based stuff and like it's sort of just so just completely artless and soul-destroying stuff that is correct.
I mean, there is... Ethically, but that's the only way in which it's created.
It's not art.
