We're on a 10-day hiatus at the moment that was pre-planned.
We haven't really been given an indication yet of when the prosecution plans to rest.
We were told going into the trial that we were going to hear from at least 10 victims.
To this point, we've heard from nine and a number of corroborating sources and expert witnesses too.
So
I presume the prosecution will continue next week, probably through the end of the week, when the case resumes again.
And then it's a matter of how long the defence is going to go for.
Will they put the brothers on the stand to defend themselves, which is probably unlikely.
and will they mount any sort of defense or will they let the prosecution's case speak for itself because they believe it doesn't hold water for sex trafficking crimes?
What's interesting to consider, I think, is that not only is this the same room that music mogul P. Diddy was on trial for sex trafficking in, two of Oren Alexander's attorneys were on Diddy's team.
And in the Diddy case...
The defense rested after 30 minutes or so.
Will they employ the same playbook here?
I guess we'll find out.
Sounds great.
Thanks, Kayla.
