So early voting is up for Republicans.
More Republican primary voters are voting in this primary election than voted in the last election or the election before that.
The problem is, and the thing that all of us need to recognize, you and I have talked about that Senate District 9 special election, is that Democrat turnout
is higher than it's ever been.
And not only is it higher than it has ever been in any presidential or non-presidential cycle in the primary, it is higher than Republicans in total.
Now, Republicans are just starting to eclipse that.
You are right that more Republicans voted than Democrats yesterday.
It looks like we are on path to vote, cast more ballots than Democrats will if the new trend continues.
But there's massive amount of energy on the Democrat side.
Now, part of that is the fact that Democrats have right now in Jasmine Crockett and James Tallarico, the first actual contested statewide election they've ever had in decades.
And I really mean decades.
Usually there's one guy who files to run for office and they all spread out.
And in this case, they actually had a competition which is driving a lot for people to the polls.
We modeled all the new voters.
And luckily...
They are all almost entirely Democrat voters who normally vote in the November that are now coming into the primary.
So there's not new voters being added to the rolls.
These are traditional general election Democrats that are voting in the primary.
That's the good news.
The bad news is, and you and I have seen this in every national poll right now, Democrats have more energy than Republicans.
