I think it's really important for everyone to hear from the president that the decisions we make not only define where some of our local communities or where our Texas legislature are going to go, it really defines the tone, the breadth, the pace, the agenda of
our nation of the republican party as a whole texas is going to set that tone it's like you've been here so much compared to other states you know this we get some conservative victories in missouri or arkansas or louisiana it's nice it's not something that sets a trend for the rest of the nation so we have an opportunity here and i think the president just reiterating the fact that the primaries are important and then the general election
Texas will likely determine the control of Congress is a wake-up call that people need to hear is that they understand just how focused they need to be from now till November.

Well, one of the things I think that your show did during impeachment was it nationalized a state-based conflict.
And that doesn't happen a lot.
If the state of Louisiana is fighting about something, no matter how much we talk about it, it's not that interesting.
When Texas takes on some of these battles, and we have been the epicenter of some of the largest Civil War battles ever.
in the Republican Party.
And that's what's happening in Texas.
And so when you started talking about the impeachment issue, when you started talking about redistricting, it nationalized this conversation.
Everyone's focused on it.
And I think that's one of the reasons why this primary is so important.
The difference between the conservative side of the GOP and the moderate establishment side of the GOP is still very much alive and well.
I will say that we've had massive victories, largely due to the grassroots network across Texas that keeps waking up.
And that's the other reason it's so important is because so many people actually know what's going on.
