So they kind of work their way up the totem pole.
They're going to start as usually a stacker.
So they're going to be pulling the pots out of that hot water tank, stacking them three high, pushing them to the back of the boat.
It's kind of the low man on the totem pole job.
And then I would say, depending on the boat in the area,
your second guy is either going to be your call man, the guy that's sorting crabs, or your shaker.
For me, in the upper bay, it's always been a shaker.
But you go to other areas, and they regard their second mate or their first mate as their caller.
Oh, I would think because they're in charge of their grade.
Yeah, it is.
You know, and when I sold a market, it was a more important to me.
It was more important to have a more skilled guy on there because you were giving them a second look.
Right.
But now, you know, I have I can afford a little bit of buffer.
in that area because, you know, we're the only ones touching the crabs and they're going to call them on the boat.
And then my guys at the crab stand are also going to go through them as well.
Exactly.
And so that'll afford me some days if I got a mixed mass crew or, you know, something like that, I know, well, maybe I could pull, you know, if we got to make up some time, maybe I could pull my guy off the call box, put him on the rail to shake, you know, put a guy that maybe doesn't know quite as much on there to just to get through them.
And then, you know, I'll just let the guys at the stand know, you know,
I'll tag them and say, you know, just pay attention when you go through these.
