They took them out at the same age, really, uh to make sure it wasn't an aging thing.
That can be part of it, of course.
As you get older, you make less testosterone anyway.
But that was factored in.
It wasn't due to aging.
And as I said, a bit like the sperm count, around one percent decline per year.
So again, that keeps going.
It's going in one direction, and that means less less sperm.
Now, the big question is why would testosterone drop?
See, science is like that.
You answer one question and it gives rise to another.
Uh one could be obesity.
That's a well known factor for decreasing testosterone.
The reason for that is if you have fat tissue, especially around your middle, well visceral fat, that will break down testosterone and it turns it into estrogen, strangely.
Isn't that weird?
Now estrogen is the female hormone, but if you have loads of fat tissue in a man, you'll begin to make more estrogen.
And that can have various effects as well, by the way.
But the big effect here is less testosterone because the obesity is a result of the floor.
Resulting in testosterone being being broken down.
That's one reason.
