So this week, we're going to focus on the Scottish Parliament because we spent a lot of time talking about the Welsh Senate last week.

But I'm sure all sorts of wires will cross in this episode anyway.

Luke, you've done a voting intention poll.

Before we dig into any kind of numbers and any trends, are there some things we need to think about when we look at any poll to do with the Scottish Parliament?

Well, yes.

So one of the things to remember about Scotland is that they used what's called a mixed electoral system.

So last week we talked about the Welsh voting system, which is a PR system, constituencies of six.

As the name implies, in Scotland it's a mixed system.

So the bulk of seats are first past the post seat.

So as you would expect in a Westminster election, you cast your vote, the party that gets the most vote wins the seat.
