That's who approves all the names for everything.
So I think it might be a coincidence that they all seemed Australian.
Anyone can submit names.
I mean, people here have submitted names for things, for craters, for other features.
And you have to follow the naming convention of that planet.
So, you know, like different planets have different naming features.
Venus, typically women, you have to name them after women from different cultures.
And so Mars has its own naming scheme which goes down, you know, from like big features to small features.
And the level of impressive naming that you need sort of goes down as you go to smaller and smaller features.
Yeah, I don't know offhand where all those came from, but it's a complicated process that has to get approved by someone.
A microphone?
I think we actually have a microphone now, or at least there was a plan to have one on Mars 2020.
Yeah.
One of the things that, so we have this drill, right?
Which is a percussive drill.
So the best way to drill in that atmosphere and with the rock types is to not just drill, but to like percussively drill.
They put it in a Mars chamber and listened to it with a microphone so that you could hear the drilling.
And sure enough, when you go to the low-density air, the drilling sounds a lot different.
So at our team meeting, they were playing what the drilling sounds like on Earth in their lab and then what the drilling sounds like at Mars atmosphere pressure.
So it was a lot different.
