Like there's dual sides to all of this and there's a lot of risk in in sort of every single side of it. matched

Um, you know, this is obviously a direct offshoot of of sort of the new agreement with Microsoft where they can, yeah, no longer uh need to be um exclusive and more importantly, uh 'cause obviously OpenAI has been signing some deals um with other players, but Microsoft had a right of first refusal on all of those and they no longer have that um, you know, per their new agreements. matched

And so open I is free to sort of go out and and play the field as it were. matched

And so they're doing so right away with the biggest players. matched

This one is interesting too from the Anthropic angle, right? matched

Because obviously Amazon is a huge uh shareholder in Anthropic and has that big partnership around their uh training chips, right? matched

To to be used for Anthropic's models. matched

Um and then Anthropic goes and does a deal with Google uh to use TPUs potentially. matched

have Amazon teaming up with OpenAI. matched

Uh and uh it seems like this is a also around NVIDIA chips too, uh, because yeah, they already have have them in some of the data centers, but it's is it are the training chips involved at all? matched

It's doesn't it's not cited, so maybe not, but like this is g I it's it's even more entangled by the day, which is wild. matched

So this goes to I I wrote a a few weeks ago about um the notion of I think I called it a uh a retreat to safety um in terms of what Apple is is focused on now. matched

Um have as you noted, sort of with the you know, the the problems that they've been having to put it lately with AI, it feels like um, you know, they may be going back to sort of their strength, which is obviously devices, right? matched

I think that this news uh only will sort of um embolden them more to do that and sort of really double down on like, look, a lot of people are doing AI, a lot of people are focused on that. matched
