We selected a bunch of players who have barely played any international T20 games and have not played as this unit of players before.
In essence, we selected a random bunch of players who just so happen to be the best of the rest from CPL.
When you have those three points and you put them together, mush them all together, why would you expect West Indies to win?
And why were media treating this iteration of the West Indies team as if they should win?
And this is why I'm upset with how people approached it.
Because what they were effectively doing was looking at the name West Indies and going, now Paul have beaten West Indies and refusing to look at the team and go, yeah, but they're man of shit.
Them men ain't experienced.
In fact, they're less experienced than the Nepalese team in this format of cricket.
So why were we expecting the West Indies to win?
Me saying that should not have been a shock to anyone.
When I was saying we're going to lose, basic analysis would have told you we're going to lose.
And we had bare intelligent men and people even in these comments going, we should have beaten the pool.
