And, like, sometimes, you know, that happens and you have to just keep going.

Um...

I just felt like, man, I can't believe I finally made it.

And of course, it was a vacated title, so I definitely would like to fight Wei Li eventually one day.

But just to be there, I think I have the top three most wins in the strawweight division on top of Wei Li and Joanne and all the champions.

So I've had a lot of fights in the strawweight division, so I really feel like I deserved it, and I'm ready to have a title defense too.

Well, I mean, I think there's things that just, I mean, it's, it's like, I guess you just get to that maturity.

You know what I mean?

You start to mature.

And one of the things that my coaches, they would be just like telling me, telling me, but like you said, like the first, I would have the strategy and then the first like good punch of the fight, the strategy would go out the window.

And I would just like, you know, you, you know, some people, they like, they shell up and I'm like,

fight or fight you know what I mean gotta like just go kill or be killed kind of thing so life obviously there's you get to like some of your lowest points and you can either give up or you just like go to sleep and you wake up the next day and you gotta like still pay the bills and still take care of your daughter and still keep going through it and I just kind of

started to mature in life and then i took that into the fight i'm like okay i got hit that's fine we're good just like move my head maybe a little bit more and stick to the strategy and start to build so definitely i try to take it down to the ground probably more against the striker now and play a little bit smarter if i'm against a grappler try to work on my striking and now i i think being a champion i know how to how to mix it up and not just like brawl all the time

I mean, because, I mean, you can, like, dedicate your whole life to it, and some people, they never get it.

You know what I mean?

And it's not something that once you do get it and you reach, like...

the number one, I mean, fighters is always very few amount of people in the world that fight, you know what I mean?

So to be like the number one in the world in your division, you know, it's crazy.

So it's definitely a relief, like, okay, all of this hard work, all of this, you know, all the sacrifices that you make, it all paid off, you know?
