I know he makes it.

But, you know, I was so in the scene because of what Emily Wilson had done with the text and with the excitement of the story that I, you know, I felt like I saw it again with new eyes.

So that is such a gift.

And I love that.

So one of the things that is so interesting is sort of the later versions of Cersei have really tended in a very negative direction.

They've seen her as sort of the man-hater and the femme fatale and, you know, the spider at the center of her web.

But in the Odyssey, if you actually go back to the Odyssey, yes, she does turn Odysseus' men into pigs.

But she also, after she and Odysseus come to an understanding, invites them to stay on her island as long as they need to stay.

She, you know, helps them recover from the trauma that they've been going through.
