We're in an elite club here.
I didn't realize how lucky I was.
Yeah, that's a really great question.
So one, I would like to credit my parents and my family for a lot of how I was raised.
I was homeschooled all the way through, but more importantly, I was classically educated.
And there's a great quote from one of the greatest philosophers in all of history, and it says, you can either be involved in politics or be damned to be ruled by lesser men.
And that's something that just really kind of resonated with me.
And so when I was 24 years old, I had started my own business.
Things were going well.
And when the congressman that was in my seat that I had taken over in North Carolina left to be chief of staff to Donald Trump, the seat was wide open.
Lots of people threw their hat into a ring.
I think it was a 13 way primary.
But when I started talking to people and I just was asking these, you know,
people from, you know, all sorts of different generations.
I was like, you know, really, how do you feel about the fact, because remember, this is 2020, you know, COVID really hadn't broken out at this point.
The world, it was 2019 when we were really thinking about it.
COVID hadn't broken out yet.
You know, Black Lives Matter hadn't broken out yet.
