I thought yesterday's at bat was really good, too.
Started him off with a couple of sliders, then through a four-seam fastball, I want to say more towards the top of the zone.
He fouled it straight back, and you're thinking, all right, he's on time for that pitch.
Came back with another four-seamer.
And I thought off the bat, I thought that might have
chance to make it up into the 500 level again.
But it's just those little things, too, where even in two strike counts, it just feels like he's the one that's in control.
And that's where you want to be.
And when you get to this point in the season, too, that's where certain players are able to come through in those clutch moments because they don't look at it as, oh, the season's on the line right here.
They just look at it as the same at bat as it were to have been if it were
middle of April as it is middle of September.
So I feel like that's something that can kind of contribute to the overall, obviously, power numbers, the clutch factor with that three-run home run yesterday, but also just him being able to get on base.
And I want to say somebody had asked John Schneider about when he's at his best, what is he seeing?
And one of the things that he had mentioned was the walk numbers continuing to climb.
Not that you want him going up there and just walking for the sake of walking, but when you earn those walks,
Those can also be very beneficial and love to see the three run home
half.
