Uh but when you look back to yesterday

It was one of those games where both teams ended up making some defensive mistakes and it came down to which team was going to be able to capitalize on that.

And and Jamie Campbell and I had even talked about this post-game in that first inning too.

Both uh Kwan and Delauder both started off with the the single that went off of Bateman's glove and then the double down the left field line.

So already in the bottom of the first inning, you've got two runners in scoring position, no outs.

Well then Soriano and

ends up getting the next three batters.

And I just felt like we we both looked at each other after that inning ended and we felt like that was just such a crucial moment in the game, even though the game had just started and ended up being quite a a lengthy game too.

But that three and half hours that inning in particular, uh to be able to bounce back and I I just um I know I'm kind of getting away from your question here, but I I I felt like that was just such a a big moment in the game yesterday and and with with

Bateman, uh mistakes are gonna happen.

Yeah, I it was it was one of those where as soon as he went for it, I knew that he wasn't gonna have a chance to get Bateman out.

So to your point, if the only shot that you have is to try to let it go foul to get him out, uh but it was like the most perfectly placed strategic, I guess, bunt for a base hit, like getting the ball up in the air.

And I feel like you don't see that all that often either from from bunts because everybody's trying to deaden the bunt and just trying to get it like softly over

There on the grass, but it hit so hard down into the dirt and it just the hang time on it.

There's just no way that even if you field that one barehanded and try to throw the ball over to first base with Bateman speed, he's gonna be safe all day.

I'm pretty sure he was calling himself safe before he.
