And then they ended up winning the challenge.

So that was a new one for me, too.

So who knows what we're going to see.

See, I think about it.

I know everybody talks about this, like, way at the beginning of the season.

Like, if you're a player that just instinctively, like, touches your helmet in between pitches or if that's part of your routine, like, having to come into this season going, all right, I've got to kind of change a piece of my in-between pitch routine because if you naturally just want to go tap your helmet, like, if you're not, I mean, you could get a challenge when you don't mean to, but I guess that almost happened yesterday.

We'll see what happens with the ABS challenges.

Yeah, that's where I think when you look at whether it's Little coming in, of course, like looking at the left-handed pitchers with a couple of lefties at the top of their order, whether it's Little coming in or Mantiply coming in, like at the end of the day, both of those guys are good enough to get outs in that situation, but you have to be able to execute your pitches.

And I was looking back, Mantiply has been throwing pretty well for the Blue Jays too.

I think it might have been all the way back his first outing in September was the last time that he gave up any earned runs.

So you're coming in here feeling like, okay, if he goes out there and executes, he can get them out of this inning.

And when you come out of the bullpen and you're falling behind early in the count, especially against an offense who, mind you, coming into this series, I believe in their last four games coming into this series, the offense had put up like 32 runs.

and so they've got a little bit of offensive momentum rolling, and then in the top of the seventh inning, they just got Jose Soriano out of the game, who had no hit them going into that inning.

They put up a four spot, so already they're feeling pretty good about it, and then you start off the inning.

I want to say it was a couple of 3-0 counts to both of those lefties.

When you're falling behind there, every pitch that you continue to fall behind, that batter feels more and more in control of the at-bat, so...

whether it was Little, whether it was Mantiply, if you're falling behind in the count, or even if it were Louis Varland to come in in that moment, if you're falling behind in the count, the offense all of a sudden has control of the at-bat, and it's completely different.

I think if he goes out there, gets ahead early in the count, we could be having a completely different conversation there.

So that's where I don't necessarily go to the decision in that moment, but more so not being able to throw those pitches into the strike zone.

When I look back at my scorebook, that's what I'm thinking about.
