But here we've got this going on right now.
Kay and I, you know, we're banging our heads against a brick wall because there's a couple of things happening sort of concurrently.
Kay's on a government advisory group with two victims of crime and they're trying to get a memorial to the suffering of McKenna's victims, okay?
Mm-hmm.
Two years ago, the government allocated $750,000 to a memorial.
So we're not talking about, you know, a bit of a rock with a plaque on it.
We're talking about a serious piece of artwork or something that would be educational and raise awareness and be positive and
but also tell the story somehow that there was abuse in that town.
The town has been against any memorial being anywhere where you can see it, and they wanted to have it in the back block somewhere out of sight, out of mind, and Kay just won't.
She won't give in on this.
She wants it to be an educational trigger and a good thing.
Yeah, of course.
They brand themselves as the heart of the great southern region, the heart.
You drive in and there's this...
this great big pillar with this sort of fuck-off-sized heart.
And I just want to get a gun or a sledgehammer and take it to that heart because they are the most heartless people I have ever come across.
They are cold, they are mean-spirited, and they continue to turn their backs on
on parents who are some of these parents are in their 90s.
Some of the parents are in their 80s.
