It couldn't come down to that.
It had to come down to the feedback.
And there was a really warm man called Joe Kalia.
He was a social worker.
He came to Katanning.
He interviewed people.
I was interviewed by him.
So were victims' families, victims, and he provided a report to government.
The then Minister for Education, a guy called Tony Booty, he just received the report and said, the hostel's coming down.
Yeah, because it's common sense.
It's obvious.
Well, it's obvious to you.
It's obvious to me, but not to the Shire of Katanning.
