And many people in Washington have said that policymakers and Trump administration officials are kind of building the plane as they're flying it on their regulatory policy here just because the AI capabilities are advancing so quickly.
It's certainly going to be a challenge, especially for this administration.
President Trump has been quite vocal about the importance of going full steam ahead on AI in order to make sure that the U.S.
remains ahead of China in this geopolitical tech race.
So the president has repeatedly signaled that.
But what's happening is policymakers are running into real hurdles when they're presented with advances in the technology that are actually quite concerning.
And we saw
over the course of the last few months, sort of the same situation happened for cyber attacks.
So, you know, the White House was historically not wanting to have much regulation, but eventually they did impose a pre-release model evaluation framework specifically for cyber risks.
So we are really seeing a shift and it's been, you know, difficult even for members of the Trump administration to decide sort of who's in charge of this policy.
