I mean I mean these algorithms are so like scary at this point where discovery has totally been democratized.

I mean, it's a really interesting journey since I don't have a traditional marketing background.
You know, I graduated with a degree in CS and so did my co founders.
Uh, and a lot of the initial ideas that we were working on were dev facing, you know, Unity assets or Unity tools, plugins, different market research tools.
And we as we spoke with more indie devs, it felt like the one thing that they were willing to take advice on was marketing, which of course we didn't.

Um, but as I kept asking them, like what were they currently doing for marketing?
No one was really saying TikTok.
I found that less than 50% of game studios had an actual TikTok account themselves, and probably 90% of them weren't even posting on it.
