And that's that's partially what I was telling a lot of the folks over at level zero as well, is that um it's not enough just to be a talented game dev.
You have to also be someone who is a little bit bold, a little bit crazy.
You know, I think uh that's that's ultimately what it takes.
There was like countless and countless and countless emails.
I bet a bunch of studios who watch this will probably check their inbox and see just an embarrassing cold outreach email from me.
Um same thing for LinkedIn DMs, and um you know it sucks when when I'm ghosted for the third time in a row and eventually they respond, and what I have to do is I have to turn the other cheek.
I have to completely swallow my pride, I have to swallow it.
everything and and just move forward.
And I think that's part of it is just being audacious, being humble, and being willing to learn.
And uh I think that's how young people can make it in this industry.
Ooh, okay, this is this is maybe like I I've been telling people this a lot is I really do think that karma exists in business where if you do stuff for people without any like genuinely no expectation in return, good karma will come back eventually.
And obviously I have no data to pro prove that, right?
But there's been
So many times where I'll I'll do a favor for an indie friend because I just want to support them or
I like my own channel, it's like 90% of it is me posting for for my indie friends for free because I I like their stuff, right?
Um and even with the my initial days of doing um you know social media management for $400 a month, 30 videos a you know a month, that's just insane for me.
It was such an ins absurd amount of work that I just knew that if I if I paid it if I wanted to pay it forward, uh I needed to
put in the work now and not expect anything in return in return and just just hope for the best.
Um even if you if you stock my Reddit, you'll see that a lot of the times I'll I'll make Reddit posts and I'll say, Hey guys, I'll cover guys' games for free.
Just, you know, send it my way and I'll do it for free.
