Sure.
And that's a big, I suppose, differentiator with family businesses versus kind of their listed or larger owned competitors is that they have, I suppose, patient capital.
So they don't have short term quarterly earnings reports to guide their decisions.
They can take that longer term view.
And I think that's a real strength of family businesses, actually, that they don't have that short term pressure, that they can look towards the future.
And there are some challenges, though, with being a family business, thinking of succession, thinking of even the tax hits that can come along with passing to the next generation.
So, you know, there's definite pros.
There's a lot of loyalty from employees to family businesses and that kind of ethos.
But as against that, you know,
Ireland still struggles to grow those intergenerational, really large domestic businesses.
And I think part of that is down to tax policy and part of that is, you know, fostering that intergenerational piece.
Yeah, we definitely see that.
And look, I've, you know, many clients where it just doesn't fit.
There isn't somebody in the next generation that is a good fit for the business and there is that kind of realisation that it may be best for the business to put it into employee ownership to some sell-off to private equity and elsewhere.
And...
You know, but plenty do foster that, you know, from a young age, actually, and plenty where I see it actually most successful is where the next gen go off and actually do something different and return back to the family business at a later point.
And we have some really good success stories in Ireland where we're seeing that happen as well.
Yeah.
It is a bit of a paradox, although you can see it.
