I didn't expect my cheerleading career to end then.

I expected it.

to obviously go off to college and cheer in college.

But I was able to achieve so many things that I wanted to in that sport.

So when that season did close, I was able to come to terms with it and be happy because I was able to be so successful.

I tried all the sports and nothing.

I fell in love with gymnastics, but I only liked the tumbling part.

So my mom was like, well, that's cheer.

So let me put you in a cheer camp.

And I went at the high school with all the high school cheerleaders and tried that and just fell in love with it.

But the team that I was on was a co-ed team.

half boys, half girls.

And I just, I loved it so much.

I loved getting thrown in the air and doing flips and tricks and all the different things.

And again, something God was preparing me for is I knew my body so well in the air, but I just knew my body and my muscle groups so well.

So when my accident happened and I became paralyzed and they started trying to

reteach me my new body, I was able to, um, really tone, really hone into that athlete mindset and what I knew about my body before.

Yeah, I was told I wouldn't be able to ever feed myself again.

I can feed myself.

And there was just so many things.
