Are we heading back or are we chance moving forward?

Well, unless those shapes up ahead turn out to be a fully stocked, freshly built forest outpost, which it clearly isn't, I don't see what going there really does for us.

It keeps us ahead of the creature.

That's what it does.

Turn around now, we could drive right the fuck back into it.

But if we stay ahead of it long enough for those machines to stop doing whatever the hell they're doing, maybe we outlast it.

Maybe we still have enough fuel left to make it back.

I'm always down to a quarter tank, and we can't burn past half or we won't have enough to get back.

So if we keep going, it won't be for very long.
