And then when, you know, she gets the big reveal of the violin at the baby shower, and, you know, Imani smiles, like, triumphantly.
You know, we've had some audiences, like, clap, like, yeah!
Yeah!
That's what you get, Layla.
And then she starts to attack me like, oh my god, what are you doing?
So I think there's a lot of ebbs and flows with Layla's journey and that we're rooting for her and that we're also feeling sorry for her.
And obviously, by the end, you're like, oh, we understand she's made some mistakes, just as all younger people do.
And it's part of the journey of coming of age.
You know, the script was very... Alan McElroy was the writer of the script, and he wrote, I thought, a really good script.
