There also seems to be something more universal, something more broadly philosophical about how we should be as human beings, not just how uh Buddhist monastics should be.
So uh with that preface that
The idea of dedication is about this uh sort of intention, right?
And this commitment to this bodhisattfoot path.
And you might worry, or one might worry, maybe, maybe you don't, uh, about the expectations here that are are we expected to be moral saints?
Um, the kinds of uh training practices, the kinds of uh mental states that we're expected to call.
cultivate the sorts of actions that are discussed in these books, like, you know, stories of giving pieces of our bodies to to hungry animals and things.
Um, that seems to be really uh high expectations.
And sometimes that's uh very high expectations are presented as objections to to moral theories.
So just maybe you could explain a little bit about what's going on here when he's talking about dedication
and talk a little bit about what the expectations are for uh for bodhisattvas and and maybe the rest of us.
I'll just say, yeah, that um
Uh I think that's a that's a good a good s good stopping point and uh uh a nice way of um if not capp capping off, sort of pointing us to how much is in is in this um text.
Um so now that this book is out and and in print, what is it that you're working on currently?
them moving towards.
