And I think that's also from working because my first job in Japan was working at August, which was like a photography kind of agency.
So I'm always thinking in terms of like the visual layout of a book and how it's going to present like visually.
And so I do also tend to choose topics that are kind of like, yeah, also visually driven, which is another good reason to be in Japan as well.
I don't know anyone who reads on a tablet.
Like, there is still, like, a respect of paper.
Like, there is a culture of paper in Japan as well.
Like, people, like, you know, like, even in your studio, you've got, like, holding screens with paper on it.
Like, I think there's an enjoyment of reading, like, and just being in bed and, like...
like if anyone's seen the film perfect days you can you know before the guy goes to sleep he's got like a book and he's reading in his futon um like there is this kind of like like you associate books just like like relaxation like a very pleasant feeling um that like being on your phone or like reading on a tablet like doesn't provide and um
Yeah, I think like books have a kind of special place in Japanese society.
Like, um, um, of course nowadays you just see people like scrolling on their phone and stuff like that, but like, um, and also I'm a bit biased because like all of my friends are into books as well.
So like, like everyone.
So, um, and, and it's also the thrill of the hunt.
So when you do go to a place like Jinbocho, like, um, like, is this like the, the fun of trolling and like being exposed to different people's passions and things like that?
Yeah, precisely.
Yeah.
And, um, as you know, like with the, with Japanese popular culture in particular, like, um, it's not driven, it's driven by like, if we see an artist, it's driven by like hyper nerds that are into one thing.
Like it's very, very specialized.
And so, um, when you see like books or magazines, it's, it's a culmination of that kind of like mentality.
