Yeah, yeah.
And this is, like, the most common question I have just from strangers.
And the answer is no, like, really no.
So it's very, very, very difficult.
So there's a few that might be, like, tattoos are okay, but most of Hakone is not.
Like, most of the major ones are not.
Um, there's a few, like, in rural Japan, like, for example, places in, um, Tsuji Onsen and stuff that, like, that are okay, um, like, trying to get, you know, the tourists to come.
But, um, generally, just, like, generally think no way.
Like, if, if there is, if you're able to, just think yourself lucky.
Um, the way to get around is, like, is to stay in a ryokan with a private onsen, um, and then you'll be able to be in your own private bath.
Or the other one is a family bath, so you can go in and hire the bath, and then you hire it for an hour.
But the other thing I really want to support in Japan is the culture of cento.
So centos are public bathhouses, and basically they existed since the Edo period, and it's for the commoners.
And they still exist because obviously everyone has their own bath.
mostly in their own homes.
But for the working class and a lot of the artisans, they didn't have their own bathrooms.
They were staying in what's called Nagoya, which is the row houses.
So they'd have to use the public bathhouse.
and so um it's a kind of like democratic space where like basically anyone can go and like it's multi-generational like it's it's for the local community and the places where they're the most common which is like samira like that's where there's like a really really high proportion of tattooed people so um so there is a kind of like um a thing in like in you know the downtown people's minds are like you're gonna expect to see tattooed people there
And so generally, even though it's changing, like with new owners and stuff like that, like if you do want to see a traditional Japanese tattoo, like go to Sumida and go to Asento because that's where you're going to see them.
