Attorneys general from twelve states filed an antitrust lawsuit against the proposed one hundred and eleven billion dollar mega deal.
California's AG Rob Bonta had planned to meet with Paramount CEO David Ellison and his team to discuss a possible settlement, but now Bonta has called off that meeting, saying Paramount leaked and misrepresented details of the talks.
Bonta says he's open to meeting again as soon as Paramount stops playing games.
That's when Paramount would have to begin paying Warner Brothers shareholders seven billion dollars a day.
Bonta and others say that threat amounts to blackmail.
