nine drivers out of 22 are native english speakers six as far as i'm concerned are english two are antipodean and one is canadian so nine out of 20 there's a good reason i think for this massive uptake at silverstone it's been a very very long time since we've had six drivers who were born

So in the back of your eye, you have cones and rods.
Rods do the black and white stuff and the cones do colour, but you need nice bright light for colour.
And there are three types of colour blindness, red-green, blue-yellow or complete.
So I suspect your motor journaling journalist friend had complete colour blindness.
He basically saw the world in kind of black and white.
